Here is about half of our group. This spot we are at is about 2 miles from camp up the Mendenhall Glacier
valley. We decided to take the snow mobiles and dinner and have a late picnic.
This is our Camp Manager, Bill. He lives in Homer, AK, and so far has been an excellent manager.
He is in charge of most everything on the glacier. Here you see him drinking what we call
"chemiclon" (I think it's from Costco). I am pretty sure it's about 99% sugar. We call it this funny
name because we all think it's pretty much the nastiest orange flavored drink out there. As you can
see here, Bill is enjoying it a lot! We all say that chemiclon could be used for a variety of
applications because of its potency. This includes outhouse odor neutralizer, carburetor cleaner,
hard water stain remover, the cure for cancer, and anything that sticks to carpet :o)
My tent :o)
The Mendenhall Towers behind me.
They stand about 6000 ft above sea
level.
Enjoying our dinner!
